Qinghai lake is a serene lake on the Tibetan Plateau of China. Literally meaning “cyan lake” in Chinese, Mongolian and Tibetan, Qinghai Lake is the largest lake in China and the 8th largest salty lake in the world.
Been there before. A great lake lying on the world's highest plateau. I have a good fortune to meet people there, most of whom are native Tibetans. There even don't need a permit to visit. And I guess people might not know the fact that Tibetan people don't live in Tibet all. Actually in Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, and other provinces, there are many Tibetan Areas.
