Jiuzhaigou, literally “Valley of Nine Villages”, is a national park in China’s Sichuan Province. Although widely known as “Jiuzhaigou”, its official name is called “Jiuzhai Valley National Park”. The valley is famous for its pristine natural beauty, well protected ecosystem, special geology, and especially its thousands of beautiful lakes and ponds. As the Chinese says, “Jiuzhai Valley outshines all waters”, Jiuzhaigou is a gem of China. Lots of wildlife, water life, and precious floras inhabit in Jiuzhaigou including pandas, golden monkeys, and love birds. The land form at Jiuzhaigou today reflects the movement of continent and glaciers from millions of years ago. In 1992, Jiuzhai Valley National Park was declared a World Heritage by the UNESCO. To keep this place being beautiful so that the next generation will still be able to see it in future, Jiuzhaigou National Park needs all tourists to help it protect its environment and beauty. As a good tourist, please see the “Tourist Do’s and Dont’s” at the official English website of Jiuzhaigou.
