My Most Amazing Trip to Huangshan Mountain Range in China!
Views 5164

March is the most beautiful spring month in Jiangnan when the fireworks happen. People come to this place from all over the world to explore the beautiful destinations this town has to offer. The major tourist highlight is ‘Huangshan’ which is famous for its picturesque scenery and a plenty of activities for visitors. I visited this stunning place and made lifetime memories.

Route: Huangshan - Hong Village – Shitan Village - Anjiang- Huizhou Hangu Road - Home

Season: Spring season

Our first stop: Huangshan Tiandi

I was literally amazed by the sight of Huangshan Mountain that was covered in fog. Those huge cliffs looked so surreal making me feel like I’m in a completely different world. Even though I didn’t see any clouds, the view of these most popular mountains was breathtakingly beautiful.

On our first day, we decided to explore the majestic Huangshan Mountain. It was evening time when we rushed to Cloud-dispelling Pavilion in order to watch the sunset. Even though it was foggy, we still enjoyed the amazing sight. The weather was a bit sunny in afternoon, but it turned foggy after some rain which was hardly there for some time. We enjoyed our amazing sunset experience amidst the huge mountains of Huangshan and returned to our hotels. We had to get up early in the morning to visit the Lion Peak.  There was a thick blanket of fog outside with little rain which had just started. We wrapped ourselves in the warm blankets and went to sleep.

We got ready next morning and made our way to the great Lion Peak which is situated near the North Sea in Huangshan Mountain. It was the best viewpoint to witness sunrise, clouds and mountains. There is a famous saying about Lion Peak that explains that you should regret if you got a chance to visit Lion Peak and didn’t watch the beautiful scenery this place offers to its visitors. I totally agree with it. The natural beauty in the surrounding of Huangshan Mountain was too surreal.

After spending some time there sightseeing, we made our way to The Great Canyon which is also located close to the Huangshan viewpoint area. This clear water canyon is covered by huge rock formations and peaks which make it a perfect scenic destination. The scenery looks more magical when you view it while walking towards the top of the mountain.

It was such an amazing experience which I’ll cherish forever. I took hundreds of pictures of each view and made our way to our next destination.

While coming back to our hotel, we witnessed a flying stone on one of the mountains which we could easily view from Canyon. It was such a wonderful sight to watch amidst the foggy weather.

Here is how we walked in and around beautiful Huangshan:

D1: Cableway - pavilion - before the peak - Beihai Hotel - Pai Yunting (see sunset) - Guangming Ding - Beihai Hotel

D2: Lion Peak (see sunrise) - Pai Yunting - West Sea Canyon - Baiyun Hotel - Ayu Fung - Yixian Tian - Baibei Ladder - Yuping House - Yingbin Song - Tiandufeng - Temple - Ciguang Ge (down) (Yuping floor where you can sit into Yuping cableway directly to Ciguangge)

This route will let you visit Huangshan and its surrounding destinations properly. You can spend some time at each place and move on to the next. But let me tell you, you should not miss any spot in the area as each place is worth visiting. Beware when you are walking up the mountains. I recommend you all to wear knee support if you cannot walk for longer or keep safety items with you in case if you experience any minor injury.

Huangshan is a most popular place which should definitely be on your list of must-to-visit places when you are in China. So, start planning a trip with your friends or family and have a lifetime experience here.
