Lucky to have a chance to go to Shangrila during the last mid October. The flight ticket was cheap, 300 Yuan in my mind, and there were few visitors.
This book 'Lost Horizon' written by James Hilton in 1933 was a remarkable book in Shangri-la, Yunnan.
In the first day, it rained. I thought it would be better to go the Tiger Leaping Gorge.
When it came to 3:00 pm, the rain stopped. Then everything fell into a deep peace.
Later I arrived at the Baishuitai, an attraction between Lijiang and Shangrila.
I didn't find a bus station with daily bus to this place. This section of trip was guided by a local driver.
When it was 5:00 pm, I arrived at the Meli Snow Mountains. Of couse i didn't have enough time to visit it that night. I chose a hotel at the foot.
On the 5:00 am next day, i woke up, without my clock, with no one urging. That feeling was so beautiful.
Then i spent three days participating a hiking group in Yubeng.
The whole hiking route was about 5 km, well worth it when I saw the destination, the Yubeng Village.
The sky was very pure, clean. It was wonderful. And when i woke up, i could see the Meili Snow Mountains. How lucky!
I began to walk another route on the map. The hikers all woke up early. That was not very many.
It always impressed me that i could find some tiny, cute creatures in the forest.
This was the Ice Lake and the waterfalls.
I just walked forward and the snow mountains were closer. It was almost 4000 meters high.
There were several resting site along the road providing hot water.
I planned to go to Yading next day. It would be shared here too.
